Hospital-Home News
Put one foot in front of the other, and soon you'll be walking out the door.................Grandma had her 4th dialysis and therapy walk up and down some stairs, and Oh my goodness....she is resting very comfortably at HOME! I think grandma would be running around the house if she didn't have the gout in her feet and very bruised. Happy to be home. Dialysis in the morning at 7:00 am. Give her a jingle or drop by to see her...There's no place like home for the holidays :)

Hospital ICU News
Last night grandma had quite a night. Blood pressure dropped dangerously low and the dialysis line was too short, so they had to take it out and put in a new line....she was not very happy at all. Jodi statyed up all night and called dad at 3:30 am to come up, per Dr. Ahmed's request. Her nurse, Robert, was on top of it and kept close eye on everything. The Doctor stayed and talked to dad and this morning he tried to place another pic-line in, however, was unsuccesful. Grandma has a lot of scar tissue that blocks the entry. Grandma had dialysis today for 2 hours and the doctor stayed in with her watching carefully. They were able to take off 2 liters of fluid today without using the drug levofed and her blood pressure is stable now. Feeling much better today, and resting comfortably. Keep Grandma and Grandpa in your prayers.

Hospital News ICU
Grandma Judy not feeling very well today, very swollen with water retention, kidneys not doing their job so our only option left is dialysis. Last night grams went down to ICU where they can monitor closely. This morning they tried to put a pic-line in, so they wouldn't have to keep taking blood out of her very small and rolling veins. They tried 4 times and no success, however they were able to put the main line to heart in for the dialysis. They brought the dialysis machine into her room and made her comfortable and then began the process of dialysis. They have put a port into her heart where it has a red line for blood to come out and a blue line for the filterated blood to return in, the whole process took 2 hours today getting 3 liters of fluid, tomorrow they will start again going 2 & 1/2 hours. Her blood pressure went extremely low, so they gave her a drug called Levofed and it constricts the blood vessels and helps keep her blood pressure up. All in all, she is still very sick, but the doctors have high hopes that this will help her. Please visit grandma, anyone is welcome, she would love to see you!

Hospital News
Grandma back in the hospital, she is having problems breathing. the doctors haven't found the problem, however they believe it may have something to do with her heart. They have concluded a little water around the heart, but nothing in her lungs....yeah! She has been in the IHC Towers for 6 days now, and they have been doing many tests on her. Today they checked her kidney, liver, gallbladder, and an X-ray on her heart and lungs. Gallbladder concluded that grandma has gallstones, this can be some of the pain and dis-comfort she has been experiencing. She received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the Moulton's, grandma was so excited and elated to get something that beautiful. Thank You! Everyone keep her in your prayers.
