Hospital News (Day 6)

Grandma seemed to feel a little better today. Her IV came out, so they had to have 3 different nurses try for a vein, finally after 5 pokes they got a line. Her throat specialist said that she would need surgery, however, they must get her better first. It is an in-and-out surgery, but it is mandatory that she has this procedure done. Oxygen levels are much better and they are keeping close eye on her sugar levels and blood levels. She is a little low on iron. Grandma has a spell of gout in her feet so it is very painful to stand or walk, boy if it's not one thing it's the next. She is still positive and always tells the nurses that she is just fine.
Keep watching grandpa and make sure he is getting enough sleep and fed well. Rich and I are going out of town, but we will keep everyone updated.
