Hospital News (Day 2)

This morning grandma had a fever of 102. Her lungs are still filled with fluid, but kidneys seem to be handling their job a little better. The nurses have given her antibiotics and tylenol. She is extremely hungry and thirsty. They would not let her eat or drink until they can determine if she can swallow easily without inhaling anything into her lungs. The Heart specialist has been in, and the Lung specialist has checked her, and the Kidney specialist was in, he explained that grandma's kidneys are old and need some tender loving care. The doctor needs to get her potassium levels down and her protymes back in order. They have done a heart and kidney ultrasound. Grandma seems to be in good cheer, always saying, "oh I'm just fine and oh that needle didn't hurt". Her sugar levels are being kept under tight watch and the nurses are wonderful. They make grandma laugh and smile. She has a wonderful attitude and love for life, keep her in your prayers.
Grandpa seems to be doing pretty good, still needs a little sleep though, remember him in your prayers as well.
